…and hello to the county of Dorset! A lot’s been happening since my last blog, which is partly why it’s taken so long to get ‘round to writing this one and yes, some of the reason why is due, directly, to “The Virus”. Let me tell you a little tale… I was born and raised in the fair city of Bristol quite some time ago. When I was 13, my... View Article

On August 20, 2020, my Mum would’ve celebrated her 100th birthday (she passed in 2012). I often think of and miss my Mum (and others who have departed), and now that life’s moving on for me too, I find myself pondering what it was like for her, growing up during the 1920s, 30’s and 40’s, the War Years and so forth – and am glad she’s not around to have... You may have already discovered and/or watched the prologue to “The Call of Mektoub” on... View Article

So this blog is a kind of almost stream of consciousness – or at least partly – but it’s also to do with something that I read recently, probably on social media – not preaching – just paraphrasing something that I read which, to me, personally anyway, helps put things into perspective during these very strange days indeed. So all credit to whoever it was, that posted this wherever it... View Article

Actually, that’s a pretty big deal when you come to think of it, huh?... View Article

In months, maybe years to come, if you’re discovering this little blog and wondering what COVID-19 means, just Google it – because “the media” will have left such a large footprint across the internet, there’ll be no problem whatsoever in finding out what happened to the planet and the humans upon it in the early part of the year 2020. Personal opinion disclaimer: I don’t watch TV (especially news or... View Article
